The Cavern, Liverpool

Hogarth trained at Manchester School of Art and at St Martin's in London. He was a painter and illustrator who travelled widely, recording the places he visited. He illustrated book covers for authors including Graham Greene, William Golding and John Wyndham. He was involved in the Artists' International Association. Hogarth became a full member of the Royal Academy in 1984 and was awarded an OBE in 1989.
