Censer

Censer – for swinging burning incense – in the form of a double gourd. On the sides are two lions in relief with balls of brocade, to which are attached the ends of the high arched handle. On the top is a pierced dome-shaped cover with floral ornaments and lion knob. The sides are decorated with designs in cloisonné enamel in a dark blue ground; lotus scrolls and circles; borders of foliage scrolls and false gadroons. On the top of the handles are the heads of two dragons disputing a pearl, and on the sides is a key fret pattern.
