Chamaeleo affinis Ruppell, 1845

Distinguished from other members of the genus by lack of crest of enlarged scales along midline of the throat, body scales all tend to be of similar size and the snout lacks horns. Colour variable, usually grass-green or blue-green with white, yellow or pinkish lateral stripe, underside paler. Length to 180 mm.
