Pierced stone reel that was used as a finial on a chariot harness. Marked by the excavator in black TA. 31.32/ 647 T.34.3. Find number 30/647. From the 'Wady Houses' area T.34.3 in the North Suburb, described as "the area to which this number has been given consisted originally either of slums or else of a large number of outhouses and servants' rooms belonging to a big house, now entirely washed away by the wady". CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, surface loss, chipped edges, pitted, surface dirt. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 153613: "REEL Stone (chipped). Pierced (possibly the head of a stick). 2" x 2¾". Egyptian (T.A. 30.31. 647). (T. 34. 3.). Egyptian Exploration Society, Tell-el- Amarna, 1930-1931".
