Chisel

Knife hafted into a wooden handle. Iron used in tools such as this chisel are known from about 650 BC and after. Round serrated label stuck to the surface markd twice "1110". Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 9 – 10 December 1907 (de Rustafjaell sale) Lot 143 "Three Mason's Mallets (Plate III); and two broken Knives with wooden handles".
