Information

This drawing depicts a scene when Christ is healing the blind man. The blind man is kneeling down holding his stick, looking up in the directin of Christ who is standing by him, slightly bent down, with his right hand lightly resting on the blind man's face as if blessing him. Christ has a distinctive 'electric-shock' type halo. These two figures are surrounded in both left and right a large crowd witnessing the miracle. Some of them, mostly in the foreground, including Christ, are highlighted in white lead in a fine parallel hatching. There is a faint outline of a figure scribbled in black chalk on far lower right.
