Christmas Card, 'The City of Liverpool. Season's Greetings'

This Christmas card was sent by Gary Millar, in 2013, during his time as Lord Mayor of Liverpool. When he was sworn in, Liverpool became the first city in the UK to have a civil-partnered couple - Gary Millar as Lord Mayor, along with his partner Steve McFarlane as Lord Mayor’s Consort. The title, Lord Mayor’s Consort was specially created for Steve. Gary Millar is a local business man, who moved to Liverpool from Scotland in 1983. Entering into public life in 2008, Gary was elected as councillor for Old Swan Ward, a post he still holds today. As well as his business and public interests, Gary also sits on the boards and is trustee to many charities and organisations, including the Michael Causer Foundation, which supports LGBT young people across Merseyside.
