Information

Cilla Black, (born Priscilla Maria Veronica White on 27 May, 1943), was the only female act on the books of the The Beatles' manager Brian Epstein. Brian introduced her to George Martin, renowned producer of The Beatles, who signed her to Parlophone Records. Cilla made her debut on the UK charts in 1963. Her singles, Anyone Who Had a Heart, and You're My World, both reached number one in 1964. She had 11 Top Ten hits and an additional eight hits that made the top 40. Cilla later became the best-paid female presenter in British TV history, perhaps best known for her hit shows, Surprise!, Surprise! (1983-1997) and Blind Date (1983-2003). She sadly passed away in 2015 and is buried in Allerton Cemetery, Liverpool.
