Clement Augustus, Archbishop Elector of Cologne

Clement Augustus was an important patron of contemporary Italian art as well as being the principle builder of the Schloss Augustusburg at Bruhl (modern-day Germany). The cloak of the sitter has the characteristic cross of a Hochmeister of the Teutonic Order.
