Thomas Tompion (1671-1713) is often referred to as England’s greatest clockmaker. He pioneered new techniques in watch making and crafted incredibly intricate clocks for his many patrons, including Charles II. This original workshop clock helped Tompion and his workers accurately measure time and create the quality timepieces they were renowned for.
