Square medallion. Ground: wool tapestry over double linen warp. Colours: white, indigo, red, yellow, green. Motif: pomegranate and bud border enclosing circular motif in green, indigo, yellow and white on red ground. Central figure of St. George on horseback(?) in red, yellow and white. Technique: tapestry using built-up shapes, slits, curved weft, dovetailing some outline on soumak. Ends per inch 66; Picks per inch 144 approx. CONDITION: Worn and frayed, part missing.
