Fragment of tapestry, possibly collar band. Ground: natural linen. Colours: red, dark and light green, yellow, olive, orange, turquoise, dark mid and light blue, purple, indigo, natural. Motif: medallions of formal floral design, enclosing bird motifs, finely delineated. Technique: tapestry with built up shapes, curved weft, slits, soumak decoration, tightly spun warp, brilliant ? Ends per inch 28; Picks per inch 160. CONDITION: Very fragmentary.
