Fragment of hanging in linen and wool. Ground: natural linen. Colours: purple and natural. Motif: large roundel in coarse guilloche pattern above two course running wave bands. Technique: plain weave with thicker bands of weft, pulled up to form loops in roundel. Extra wool weft inserted and pulled up form loops. Four rows of weft between each looped row. Hemstitched fringe. One selvedge.

CONDITION: Worn, frayed, stained, cleaned and mounted 1976.
