Coast Landscape

Henry Bright was a landscape painter and draughtsman. He was known for his use of chalk and stump on buff paper. This created a neutral background to enhance the colour white. He produced work with painters, J.F. Herring (1795-1863) and W. Shayer (1788-1879). In these paintings Bright would often contribute to the landscape background.
