Wooden striking cobra (uraeus). Originally wapplied with thin layer of plaster (gesso) and painted - now just trace amounts of blue and red. Wooden peg for attachment at base. Possibly from a decorative frieze from the New Kingdom or later.


CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, worn, surface loss, area of damage, hole at base, adhesive residue.
