Steatite uraeus cobra fitting. Probably from Tell el Amarna, as it is similar to other examples excavated at this site. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Chipped, surface dirt. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 31978 ; Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 15-17 December 1924 (Hon. Richard Bethell collection) lot 374 "An 'ex voto' Figure of blue faience; three Snake's Heads for decoration; and a number of faience inlay Pieces, etc.; chiefly from Tell el-Amarna; XIII dynasty (a lot)".
