Coffin Fragment

Foot board from of a cartonnage coffin case. Wood covered with linen and plaster and painted with an image of the deceased as a mummy riding on the back of a bull. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Wood dry, splitting, decorated textile lifting with some areas of loss and discolouration, old insect infestation, surface dirt.
