Coffin Fragment

Modelled face sculptured from a single piece of wood, prepared with a layer of plaster and painted yellow with black outline around the eyes. The back is damaged by termites. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Very dry, fragmenting yellow pigment, bore holes/grazing, surface dirt, white residue.
