Coffin Fragment

Fragment of a coffin one side prepared with plaster and painted with a column of hieroglyphs in dark paint against a yellow background. Round label with serrated edge, like how de Rustafjaell items were catalogued for Sir Henry Wellcome from the 1907 sale. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Paper adhered to surface, dirty/mould?, dry, splitting, pigment and gesso loss, surface dirt, remnants of label adhered to surface.
