Fragment of a coffin, both sides prepared with plaster and painted with polychrome decoration. On one side the background colour is red and the decoration includes a mummiform figure wearing a blue wig and beard. The other side has suffered from termite damage and only a small are of decoration painted against a yellow paint background is preserved. Probably from the same coffin as fragments 1973.1.658a, 1973.1.657 and 1973.1.665. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Old infestation, large areas of surface loss, loss of pigment and decoration, splitting , very dry, surface dirt, label adhered to surface with the printed number 942..
