Coin of Ptolemy VIII Euergetes II (Benefactor); Born c.184 BC, died 116 BC; Became king of Egypt in 145 BC, although prior to this for a while he was a co-ruler with his brother Ptolemy VI and sister Cleopatra II
Mint: Alexandria
Obverse: head of Ammon turned to the right, dotted border.
Reverse: eagle with spread wings standing left on thunderbolt, regnal year ʘΕ in left field, dotted border around.
There is no obverse Inscription, however the reverse inscription reads: [ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑ]ΣΙΛΕΩΣ
