Coin of Ptolemy III, Euergetes (Benefactor); Born c.280 BC, died 222 BC; Became king of Egypt in 246 BC Mint: Alexandria Denomination: AE35 Obverse: horned head of Ammon facing to the right wearing taenia, dotted border; Reverse; an eagle facing the left standing on thunderbolt,cornucopia in left field monogram between legs, dotted border around. There is no obverse Inscription, however the reverse inscription reads:ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ
