Coluber hippocrepis Linnaeus, 1758

Fairly slender snake, well defined head with fairly large eyes. Back has series of large, closely spaced spots, often blackish or dark brown with black edge, flanks have one or more rows of smaller dark spots, ground colour olive, yellowish or reddish, belly yellow, orange or red, usually with dark spots. Length up to 150 cm.
