Information
Typed copy of a letter, dated New York, 4 August 1911, written on behalf of Mr Franklin, vice-president of the International Mercantile Marine Company to its president, JB Ismay, confirming that Franklin's suggestion for a Tuesday evening arrival in New York applied generally and was not confined to the steamer's next voyage. Unsigned, but written For P.A.S. Franklin by F.T. This letter, with the others in this series, was later used in the British Titanic Inquiry to show that Ismay was opposed to faster sailing times for Olympic.
