Typed copy, unsigned, of a letter from Mr Toppin, White Star/IMM New York, to Mr Ismay re Olympic's speed, 18 August 1911. Expressing approval of Ismay's decision to allow the steamer to come out at full speed while on the short track, thus allowing her to arrive in New York on Tuesday afternoon, which 'will certainly add materially to her attractiveness and popularity on this side.' It will also allow coaling from Wednesday morning and cleaning from Friday so as to be in satisfactory shape for sailing on Saturday afternoon.
