Corn Mummy

Bundle of bandages coated with a dark resin. Perhaps in the shape of a mummified image of Osiris like a corn mummy, filled with mud and seeds. Since 1852 it has been thought to be a mummified cat covered in bitumen but X-rays in 2015 revealed no skeletal material inside. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Outer surface is cracking and flaking off, discoloured, chipped, surface dirt.
