Cosmetic Application Stick

Wooden applicator stick (kohl stick) that is flat and narrows from bulb. From one of the 1907-9 excavations at Abydos (grave number not recorded). CONDITION NOTE (1998): incomplete with surface dirt. Danson Catalogue 1 no.133 "10 kohl pots - 8 alabaster, 1 black stone & 1 slate. Found by Prof. Garstang at Abydos, 1906 - also 4 kohl sticks".
