Anhydrite kohl pot marked in pencil on the base and the side "M.08" indicating this is from Garstang's excavations at Messawiyeh (Mesawiyeh) to the south of Esna. 

CONDITION NOTE 1998: incomplete - no lid, cracks on surface,  pitted, chipped, discoloured, adhesive on surface
