Greywacke stone palette, rectangular shaped with bevelled edges. Objects like this were used with a pebble to grind minerals such as malachite to make eyepaint. Marked by the excavator in ink 'F129', indicating this is from the Fort Cemetery at Hierakonpolis, grave no. 129. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Surface loss at corner, chipped, scratched, worn, surface dirt, adhesive on surface.
