Cosmetic Palette

Oval shaped greywacke palette mended from two pieces with one part pissing. Marked in in 117. Label accompanying the object at acquisition has handwritten ink inscription: "2 Slate palettes. 1 Alabaster dish. Grave 117 S.D. 81. Tarkhan. 1st Dynasty." Type 29. Dynasty 1 (Sequence Date 81). CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, previously repaired, adhesive on the surface, label adhered to surface, scratched, surface dirt.
