Cosmetic Vessel

Egyptian alabaster cosmetic vessel shaped like a an amphora in miniature, with two pierced lug-handles. The stone is beautifully banded in white and cream. Inside the vessel are remains of a dark coloured substance. From the excavations of John Garstang at Abydos, 1907, Tomb 35.
