Cosmetic Vessel

Small sized kohl pot. The separate rim and lid are missing. Dark steatite? CONDITION NOTE 1998: Running crack, worn, surface dirt. Danson Catalogue 1 no.133 "10 kohl pots - 8 alabaster, 1 black stone & 1 slate. Found by Prof. Garstang at Abydos, 1906 - also 4 kohl sticks".
