Cosmetic jar, roughly finished, with groove below the rim. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Cracks on rim and base. Chipped rim and base, worn, surface dirt. Pencilled number 268/7 on surface. Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 20-21 & 24-25 June 1918 (R. Coltman Clephan collection) Lot 268:Seven miscellaneous alabaster Vases, from 3 1/2 in. to 5 in. high, chiefly Vith dynasty examples, all but one in fine condition.
