Information

A kohl pot of a short and stout body with its base missing. The pot has a wide circular but flat mouth and there are traces of kohl on its interior. Found half way down the shaft of tomb 702 (found disturbed in 1925). The lid found in the same grave (56.22.177a) does not seem to belong. From tomb 702 excavated by the Egypt Exploration Society, 1925-26, and given to the East Anglia Egyptian Society in return for their subscription. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Base is missing, chipped and worn lip, label adhered to surface, chipped surface.
