Cosmetic Vessel

Small sized kohl jar with lid, flat base, shoulders and rim, of waxy pale brown colour. The jar contains traces of kohl eye cosmetic. Marked in pencil 1107. Noted in the excavation record as "Alabaster kohl [pot] and blue lid". CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, section of loss
