Cosmetic Vessel

Small kohl pot made of alabaster with remains of kohl inside. No lid. Base marked in thick nib black ink 880. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, no lid, chipped at base, some pitting. It's not recorded how Wellcome acquired the item. Most likely from the the sale of a member of the Beni Hasan Excavation Committee, such as William Macgregor or Frederick Hilton Price.
