Cosmetic Vessel Lid

Disc-shaped lid incised with an image of Taweret. Chipped and scratched in places with surface loss around incised design. Very small flat boss on the underside, allowing it to fit into the mouth of a cosmetic vessel. Probably from grave A'07 309 as marked in pencil '309' (but does not appear in Steven Snape's study of Garstang's excavations). CONDITION NOTE 1998: Chipped, scratched, some surface loss around incised design , some running cracks, surface dirt.
