Cosmetic Vessel Lid

Disc-shaped lid with a large flat boss on the underside, allowing it to fit into the mouth of a cosmetic vessel. Staining from the kohl contents on the underside. From one of the 1907-9 excavations at Abydos (grave number not recorded). CONDITION NOTE (1998): Broken, fragment, chipped, surface dirt. Danson Catalogue no. not recorded.
