Cosmetic Vessel Lid

Disc-shaped lid with a flat boss on the underside, allowing it to fit into the mouth of a cosmetic vessel. From one of the 1907-9 excavations at Abydos (grave number not recorded). Jar 1977.112.137 seems to be a match for the lid. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Worn, surface dirt. Danson Catalogue no. not recorded.
