Count Hendrik Van Der Bergh (About 1573 - 1638)

A copy of one of the versions of Van Dyck's portrait, probably that in the Prado of 1629-1632. The sitter was a soldier in the Spanish service in the Low Countries who served with Spinola at the Siege of Breda and succeeded him in 1629 to take command of the Spanish forces in the Netherlands. He later defected to the Prince of Orange.
