Cowrie Bead

Blue faience openwork cowrie with a representation of the cat-headed goddess, Bastet, standing in a shrine with a uraeus on a lotus flower on either side of her. The whole scene stands on a lotus flower and is surmounted by a winged solar disc. Colours blue, yellow and violet. Very fine technique. Pierced through the length for suspension.
