Information

The collection consists of correspondence between Cunard’s Naval Architects and quantity surveyors and various companies working on decorating and fitting out the Queen Mary. Records include quantities and specifications for work, conditions of contract, and estimates and final statement of accounts. Also, agreements and contracts between Cunard and various companies for services such as carriage of passengers, installation of radio equipment, printing and stationery and hire equipment. Other records included are licences, plans, reports, voyage graphs and data books. The collection covers the period from 1903 to 1968.
