Coin of Ptolemy VI Philometor (Loving His Mother); Born c.186 BC, died 145 BC; Became king of Egypt in 180 BC Mint: Alexandria Denomination: AE22 Obverse: head of Ammon right, dotted border. Reverse: eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt, large sceptre over shoulder (?) and flower (?) in left field, EYΛ between (?) the legs of the eagle dotted border around can be seen There is no obverse Inscription, however the reverse inscription reads: ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ [EYΛ]
