Coin of Ptolemy VIII Euergetes II (Ptolemy the Benefactor); Born c.184 BC, died 116 BC; Became king of Egypt in 145 BC, although prior to this for a while he was a co-ruler with his brother Ptolemy VI and sister Cleopatra II Denomination: AE28 Obverse: horned head of Ammon turned to the right, dotted border. Reverse: eagle with spread wings standing left on thunderbolt, Φ (?) in right field and a dotted border around can be seen There is no obverse Inscription, however the reverse inscription reads: [ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΕΡΓΤΟΥ]
