Coin of Ptolemy IV Philopator (Loving His Father); Born c.238 BC, died 205 BC; Became king of Egypt in 221 BC Mint: Alexandria Obverse: head of Ammon turned to the right wearing taenia and dotted border. Reverse; eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt, cornucopiae in left field, M (?) between eagle's legs and a dotted border around can be seen There is no obverse Inscription, however the reverse inscription reads: ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ M Found in the cave of Dionysus, Syracuse.
