Coin of Ptolemy I Soter (the Savior); Born c. 367 BC, died 282 BC; Became king of Egypt c.305 or 306 BC
Mint: most likely Alexandria
Obverse: diademed head of Ptolemy I right, with aegis, a dotted border around;
Reverse an eagle with closed wings turned to the left, standing on thunderbolt, letters ΣΙ in left field, a dotted border around the right side.
There is no obverse Inscription, however the reverse inscription reads: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ only.
