Coin of Ptolemy VIII, Euergetes II (the Benefactor) from his sole reign. Mint Salamina Cyprus Obverse: diademed head of Ptolemy I, turned to the right, partially dotted border. Reverse: eagle with closed wings standing on thunderbolt turned to the left, letters L Λ Α (year 31) to the left. Mint letters to the right ΣΑ for Salamis. Legend: ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ, dotted border all around.
