Coin of Ptolemy I Soter (the Savior); Born c. 367 BC, died 282 BC; Became king of Egypt c.305 or 306 BC
Mint: most likely Alexandria.
Obverse: diademed head of Ptolemy I right, with aegis, a dotted border around.
Reverse: an eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt, letter Σ in left field, again with a dotted border around.
The reverse inscription reads: [Π]ΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩ[Σ]
