Coin of Ptolemy III Euergetes (Benefactor); Born c.280 BC, died 222 BC; Became king of Egypt in 246 BC Mint: Alexandria Obverse: horned head of Ammon right wearing taenia, dotted border. Reverse an eagle standing left on thunderbolt,cornucopia in left field monogram between legs, dotted border around. There is no obverse Inscription, however the reverse inscription reads: ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ
