Information

Donald G. MacLaren was a student at the Slade School from 1903 to 1908 where he won several prizes for figure compositions. This drawing was probably produced during his time at the Slade. He was friends with James Dickson Innes and was a teacher in Liverpool before the First World War. Maclaren was presumably killed in action in 1917 when his company was was sent on a day light raid and never returned.
